Garfield Lounge
I was asked by one of my clients to participate in a philanthropy project through the New Beginnings Community Church. NBCC has "adopted" Garfield School in Redwood City as part of their charitable work. Last December NBCC refreshed several rooms for the school but we were tasked with updating the Staff Lounge. Their previous space was the size of a private office, and also served as the copy room, not ideal. The school was able to repurpose a large classroom to serve as a new lounge. It is so important for staff to be able to have a respite to be able to regroup throughout the day. We also wanted this room to be multi-functional for collaboration between colleagues outside of their normal classroom, and inspire new ideas. This project was a labor of love and we were so proud and honored to be involved and provide them with a new vision.
